Discussion-conference presented by the Intercultural Institute of Montreal (IIM) at the Quebec Social Forum

Pondering over pluralistic Quebec: continued reflections
beyond Bouchard-Taylor Commission

Date: Sunday, October 11th, 2009, from 10h 45 A.M. to 12h30 P.M.

Place: Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, 255 Ontario East , room 9.01, Montreal (Metro Berri-UQAM)

Goals:

Cultural diversity transcends the reasonable accommodation of differences for our “living together” in the contemporary societies. In this regard, the Intercultural Institute of Montreal proposes a discussion-conference on four memorandums presented to the Bouchard-Taylor Commission. We shall present an interdisciplinary perspective including Anthropology, Theology and Religious Studies, as well as the “intercultural approach” developed by IIM.
