COMMUNIQUE November 2011

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

To: all participants, collaborators, partners, donors and friends of the Intercultural Institute of Montreal

This is to announce that the Institute shall leave the present address at 4730 Papineau Avenue on June 30th, 2012. The process of dissolving the organization is underway and we shall keep you informed of the measures and steps that are being be adopted. Here we are some information about the actions taken so far to this end.

Following regular activities will not be offered to the public starting fall 2011:

• Public programs: seminar, symposium, colloquium, intercultural forum, series of lectures, etc.

• Publication of the Intercultural Bulletin Board

• Services of our documentation center

• Publication of our journal InterCulture

Activities to be continued for the year 2011-2012 :

• Referral services, intercultural training and speaker’s services and consultation for individuals, organizations/institutions shall continue in a limited way.

• The youth project named, “ Development of an intercultural peer-helper model for crime prevention: the youth from ethnocultural communities get involved ”, will be finished in March 2012.

• Following activities to conserve IIM’s heritage have been included for the year 2011-2012 :
